The regional short-term dataset covers infra-annual data on labour market statistics and health.
••• The labour market trend is measured with:
• Employment rate (% employed population over working age population)
• Unemployment rate (% unemployed population over active population)
• Activity rate (% active population over working age population)
Data are available by sex (women, men, total), and age groups:
• 15+ (working age population aged 15 year olds and over)
• 15-24 (youth)
Due to limitation of data availablity in the 15+ age group, 15-64 year olds are reported for Belgium, Denmark and Italy ; 16+ for Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States ; 15-74 for Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland and Norway; 15-75 for Netherlands. For youth 15-24 year olds labour market, 15-29 years olds is reported for Korea.
••• Health infra-annual data is measured with:
• The monthly excess mortality (% difference of deaths with the average for the same month between 2016 and 2019)
• Vaccination rates early September (full 2-doses, partial 1-dose and total), data are shown in Q2-2021.
The data collection is undertaken by the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE).
