The ongoing OECD’s Gender Initiative aims to strengthen gender equality in education, employment and entrepreneurship (the “three Es”) – three key dimensions of economic and social opportunities. In 2013, OECD countries as well as Costa Rica, Latvia, Lithuania and the Russian Federation adopted the OECD Gender Recommendation, which not only provides principles for achieving greater gender equality in Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship but also mainstreams gender equality in the OECD’s programme of work through ongoing analysis and monitoring of progress with gender equality.
