Data for European countries comes directly from the E.U. statistical agency (EUROSTAT)

New Zealand) Urban wastewater treatment and therefore sludge production figures include the treatment of wastewater from domestic sources and some commercial and industrial sources. Figures are estimates and are based on the population served (with allowances for contributions from the commercial and industrial sectors), treatment type and disposal method

Sweden) Total disposal: sum of disposal of sewage sludge to woodland (1 % of total sludge production 2010), part of landfill cover that prevents water infiltration (20% of total sludge production 2010) and other undefined disposal (8% 2010). Every other year the data on total sludge disposal is incomplete because data is only compiled for the Sludge directive which only concerns total sludge production and amount of sludge used in agriculture
