Data for total employment supplied by Statistics Korea. With the method chosen by OECD countries(USA, Japan, etc.) as a reference, the result of Labour Force Survey at Establishments was used as basic data and that of Labour Force Survey at Households was used as supplementary data, respectively.

Data for dependent employment supplied by the Ministry of Labour from the Survey on Wages and Working Hours at establishments with one or more regular (permanent) employees.

The result of the Labour Force Survey at Establishments was used to estimate the Annual Hours Worked of permanent employees (excl. those employed in industry types ‘A, O, T, U'*), whereas the relative ratio of the Labour Force Survey at Households was used for temporary·daily, self-employed, unpaid family workers and employees in industry types ‘A, O, T, U.'*

* A, O, T, U: Industry classification codes of agriculture, forestry and fishing, public administration, national defense, etc. that are excluded in the Labor Force Survey at Establishments.
