Definition: The duration of unemployment corresponds to the uncompleted duration of job search at the time of the survey. For those with previous work experience, the duration of unemployment is the shorter of the following two periods: the duration of job search and the duration of joblessness (i.e. the length of time since last employment). It corresponds to the duration of job search for those without previous work experience. Duration "Less than one month" refers to the duration of unemployment during the previous four weeks, including the survey reference week.
