Russian Federation's accounts follow the 2008 SNA (“System of National Accounts 2008”, Commission of the European Communities - Eurostat, International Monetary Fund, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, United Nations and World Bank, 2009).

Quarterly national accounts data for Russia are sourced from the Russian National Statistical Office (ROSSTAT) which since July 2017 has released time series according to the 2008 SNA back to 2011. Due to the application of new indicators used to compile quarterly national accounts, data have been revised back to 2014. As a consequence time series show a break between 2013 and 2014.

GDP by expenditure at current prices are adjusted for seasonal variations by the OECD, method Tramo-Seats.

This statistical data is supplied by and under the responsibility of the relevant statistical authorities. The use of such data by the OECD is without prejudice to the status of or sovereignty over any territory, or to the delimitation of international frontiers and boundaries.

The financial intermediation services indirectly measured (FISIM) are allocated to industries and institutional sectors.

Chain indices are used for calculating volume changes and the resulting chained volume estimates are not additive.
