The methodology used to report on humanitarian aid data differs between UNICEF and OECD. Therefore, expenditure by humanitarian aid in this report is not comparable to what is presented in UNICEF reports. Sectors presented in this data share the name of two of UNICEF outcome areas. However, the methodology used to derive these sectors differs between UNICEF and OECD. Therefore, expenditure by these groups is not comparable. Due to differences in UNICEF and DAC country groupings, the geographic presentation of UNICEF data in DAC systems may differ from that seen in UNICEF's internal publications. For example, UNICEF's regional activities in CEEC/NIS (Central and Eastern Europe Countries and New Independent States) include assistance to countries in the DAC's South & Central Asia region as well as its Europe region and have therefore been assigned to "developing countries unspecified".
