Any movement of goods and/or passengers using seagoing vessels on voyages which are undertaken wholly or partly at sea.

|
One port transport (movements of goods shipped to offshore installations, or for dumping at sea, or reclaimed from the sea bed and unloaded in ports) is included. Bunkers and stores supplied to vessels are excluded. Fluvio-maritime movements of goods by seagoing vessels are included. Movements of goods on inland waterways vessels between sea ports and inland waterway ports are excluded. (They are included in inland waterway transport). Movements of goods carried internally between different basins or docks of the same port are excluded.
