French Equivalent: Marchandises transportées par mer

Definition:
Any goods moved by sea.

Context:
This includes all packaging and equipment such as containers, swap-bodies or pallets. Mail is included; goods carried on or in wagons, lorries, trailers, semi-trailers or barges are also included.

Conversely, the following items are excluded: road passenger vehicles with drivers, bunkers and stores of vessels, fish landed from fishing vessels and fish-processing ships, goods carried internally between different basins or docks of the same port.
