Administrative regulations are paperwork and administrative formalities - so-called "red tape"- through which governments collect information and intervene in individual economic decisions.

Context:
They can have substantial impacts on private sector performance. Reform aims at eliminating those no longer needed, streamlining and simplifying those that are needed, and improving the transparency of application.
