Definition:
Arithmetic growth refers to the situation where a population increases by a constant number of persons (or other objects) in each period being analysed.

Context:
Arithmetic growth rates may take the form of annual growth rates, quarter-on-previous quarter growth rates or month-on-previous month growth rates.
