Characteristics
Sampling
Statistics Netherlands conducts the monthly consumer survey using a sample size of 1500 consumers. The response rate is 65%. The sampling frame is based on municipal population data and the telephone register. A two-stage address sample is used. The first stage involving the selection of municipalities and the second stage the selection of addresses within those municipalities.
