| Direct source GUS Data source(s) used The weights of the national CPI are derived from average annual expenditures primarily taken from the monthly Household Budget Survey based on a sample of approximately 35,000 (in 2006) households per year (using the method of monthly rotation with a quarterly cycle). Some adjustments for expenditures on alcoholic beverages, tobacco and catering are made using retail trade data and national accounts estimates. |
