Direct source GUS Data source(s) used The weights of the national CPI are derived from average annual expenditures primarily taken from the monthly Household Budget Survey based on a sample of approximately 35,000 (in 2006) households per year (using the method of monthly rotation with a quarterly cycle). Some adjustments for expenditures on alcoholic beverages, tobacco and catering are made using retail trade data and national accounts estimates.

Scope

Item coverage Imputed Rentals for Housing (COICOP 04.2) is not included in the national CPI Till 2004 the kindergarden expenditures were included in Social protection group (COICOP 12.4). Then they have been moved to the Education group (COICOP 10).
