The dataset is a snapshot of data published in the 2015/2016 OECD Factbook which is the most comprehensive OECD publication on statistics. It contains a wide set of internationally comparable indicators that allows users to assess and compare countries’ performance over time in a wide range of areas that are at the heart of citizens’ and policy-makers’ concerns.
The OECD Factbook provides indicators selected from more than 40 OECD statistical databases for all 34 OECD member countries and, when available and considered internationally comparable, for Brazil, India, Indonesia, the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation and South Africa.
More up-to-date data and longer time series can be found in the Country Statistical Profile dataset which contains the same indicators updated on a regular basis.
