Definition:
Volumes at constant exchange rates of period t1 are series at constant domestic prices (reference year t1) converted to a common currency by way of constant exchange rates of period t1.

Context:
When expressed as a volume index, this corresponds to a weighted average of the volume index of each country in the area with weights based on exchange rates of period t1. Thus, exchange rate based weights are periodically updated.
