French Equivalent: Programmes de recherche de haut niveau (CITE 6)

Advanced Research Qualifications refer to tertiary programmes that lead directly to the award of an advanced research qualification, e.g., Ph.D. The theoretical duration of these programmes is three years full-time in most countries (for a cumulative total of at least seven years full-time at the tertiary level), although the actual enrolment time is typically longer. The programmes are devoted to advanced study and original research.
