TYPES OF DATA SOURCE

Definition:
The institutional, administrative, sample survey and/or census based information that serve as principal inputs for compiling statistical aggregates.

Context:
Under the SDDS, "data sources" pertains to the characteristics and components of the basic statistical data. Sources can be distinguished, according to the modality of data collection, in: a) administrative (for data coming from administrative records); b) survey (for data coming from surveys for a specific sector or institutional unit).
