KEY (TIME SERIES OR SIBLING GROUP)

Definition:
The key uniquely defines a time series or sibling group within a data set.

Context:
Every time series takes a value for every dimension of the key family to which the series belongs. The meaning attached to the value of one dimension is not permitted to depend upon the values of any other dimensions.
